With his artistic talent, the design of our home just flows effortlessly and fits us very well with our lifestyle and it continues to deliver us with many happy family memories. We chose Robert to design our home a few years ago and we would (and already have, actually) strongly recommend(ed) him to anyone thinking of building a new home. He was highly responsive and detailed throughout our design process (& even during the build process, too), and his reputation as one of the premier (if not, the best) design-architects in our area is clearly well-deserved. Robert's thoughtful design really helped us to realize our dreams of our long-term, Family home--a floorplan that has supported our family seamlessly through several phases of kids' activities and growth, and an overall exterior design that routinely gets high praise from neighbors and visitors alike. Needless to say, we are happy we were able to find, and work with, Robert and Emily. We definitely recommend Sanyao to anyone thinking of building their home of the future.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Robert Tong and his daughter's Emily on a high-end custom French-Modern estate project at 1130 W Orange Grove Ave, Arcadia. Robert Tong brings an exceptional blend of creativity, cultural insight, and meticulous attention to detail that truly sets him apart. What impresses me most is Robert's hands-on approach. He delivers the kind of personalized service and dedication you'd expect from the very best in the industry. The end result? A home that not only exceeded our expectations but has become a true showcase, frequently admired by visitors and featured in luxury real estate circles. Projects designed by Robert Tong routinely command premium prices and admiration for their sophistication, quality craftsmanship, and thoughtful details like expansive home theaters, gourmet kitchens tailored to specific lifestyles, and flowing indoor-outdoor living spaces. If you're planning a new build, major remodel, or custom estate and want a designer who combines artistic talent with practical expertise, Robert Tong is the gold standard. Professional, reliable, innovative, and results-driven—he turned our dream into a masterpiece we'll cherish for generations. Highly recommended without reservation!

I have known and worked with Robert Tong for over 35 years. We have worked on over 50 projects together. He has now joined forces with his daughter Emily, a top graduate of the highly acclaimed USC School of Architecture. Having seen her work firsthand, I truly believe she has the talent and imagination to design your dream home. Robert is, without question, first and foremost a person of exceptional character — and an extraordinarily talented. His work is both efficient and inspired, and his floor plans have an effortless flow and feel that few can match. I have not worked with anyone better. If you are looking for a fantastic experience from start to finish, you will not regret working with Robert and Emily.
