Great experience with CA-NY Express Movers from SF to NY! The team was highly supportive and flexible. Eric and the customer service team were very flexible, letting me update my item list right up until pickup, where the crew finalized the CF charges on the spot. The price was reasonable with no pricing surprises. Everything was wrapped beautifully, and nothing was damaged. Our delivery window was June 1st–8th; though they couldn't hit the 1st, they accommodated our schedule and arrived on the 4th, minimizing our waiting time. They also sent daily updates on where our items were located. Super communication! Highly recommend!

I recently moved cross-country from the East Coast to LA and CA-NY Express Movers made the whole thing genuinely stress-free. Eric was my point of contact throughout and he was fantastic. Have used CA-NY Express twice. Once in both directions, east to west and west to east. There’s a LOT of noise about how moving companies break things and are unreliable. I’ve found that not to be the case with at least this team. They were cool to work with, easy to talk to and prices were better (and more believable) than most others. If you get a lowball quote, I’d be skeptical. Overall the process of moving across the country is something most people should consider heavily since it IS expensive. But if it’s worthwhile to you and you can be there to supervise while movers are doing things, I think it’s pretty easy. Eric Rummel was my contact for both moves and answered all of my questions with no judgement and a friendly attitude. We texted. We called. We emailed. In the end both moves worked out and my stuff got there intact. That’s what matters.

Overall an excellent experience, I was glad to find this company, perfect for our needs going LA to NYC, would highly recommend. Teams on both ends were great—polite, professional and helpful, everything arrived on time and in virtually perfect condition (literally only one lightbulb broken from the whole load to the chagrin of the mover who was disappointed as he said they like to have a perfect record—and we were transporting some original, delicate artwork that I was very concerned about). Pricing seemed typical for a cross country move, we over estimated amounts of things, hard to know ahead exactly how many cartons, etc... so when it was tightly packed and they calculated the cubic square footage the final price actually turned out lower than the estimate, nice surprise. The only unpleasant surprise, I didn't realize that the packing service (which they did a great job on, a huge help as we were totally overwhelmed) didn't automatically include any unpacking assistance on the other end, I assumed incorrectly that "packing service" was all one inclusive thing, but that was not the case, two separate labor charges for packing and then unpacking, so we paid an extra $150 on the day of delivery because of that misunderstanding, but the total price overall was fair and felt worth the service. I also appreciated that 30 days of free storage was included after the pick up so we had flexibility in scheduling delivery—you pick a week window and then they narrow it down closer to the time—so we didn't have to rush to beat the truck across the country.
