This law firm is a scam. We contacted Eli Underwood about a partition case by calling the phone number listed on his many advertising sites online. We spoke with his “supposed” staff. We got emails confirming the scheduled initial consultation, and a link to pay online, which we did. We literally followed all the online prompts to pay but this turned out to be a “ghost” process. Our payment went into his account but this doesn’t mean that Mr. Underwood did what he was paid to do. Mr. Underwood used overseas telemarketing personnel and when you called his office your call was answered by this overseas personnel or a local exchange operator. After receiving all our payments without working on our case, we decided to fire him, but he had the nerve to send us a final bill for doing nothing. We will report this to the Ca state bar.
