I have worked with Streamline Permitting & Design and Devin Way for more than three years to obtain permits for a project with a construction budget of approximately $1.1 million. During that time, I paid more than $70,000 to Devin Way and his associates with the expectation that the project would be properly planned and managed. Instead, the project went through multiple revisions and significant delays. After the fourth major plan revision, I was presented with an additional $20,000+ change order for work that I believe should have been identified during the initial feasibility and design process. One issue that particularly concerned me was that waterproofing requirements were not included in the design, despite the property being only a few blocks from the beach. In my opinion, that is a critical design consideration for protecting a substantial investment. I also had a separate dispute with the interior designer, Bailey, who was recommended to me. In my experience, she did not complete the original scope of work—including the exterior lighting design—before requesting additional payments for new work. We were unable to resolve our disagreement, and that dispute is also part of the legal proceedings. After months of attempting to resolve these issues directly and through our respective attorneys, we were unable to reach an agreement. On the advice of my attorney, the matter is now proceeding to litigation. Based on my experience, the process has been extremely time-consuming, costly, and frustrating, and I cannot recommend Streamline Permitting & Design.
