I went here
to get a replacement EBT card and I was pleasantly surprised the building is new parking is highly competitive however there's not much of it. Best to come early in the day if you're going to drive your own car. There is security at the door and a lady behind a glass window who will give you a number. They do search your belongings and put them through an x-ray machine. Leave anything illegal or contraband at home like weapons or drugs. I only had to wait 10 minutes for my replacement card even though the place was packed. They had plenty of seating also and restaurants that are available to the public that were using services in the building only. The restrooms were clean and large. Staff was friendly.

CALVET WORKS AGAINST VETERANS. Got the run around multiple times and sent to get paperwork just to bring back paperwork and some lady in the back tells the front workers to tell us 100% Disabled Veterans that they need another or different piece of paper.
This is possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had in multiple states! Who ever is in charge here should be replaced with someone that actually cares about their job and other veterans. I’ll be personally filing a complaint with congress and OIG. I can only assume the lady (whoever she is refused to come and talk to anyone in the front and do her actual job) is just lazy in life and am not the only one that’s been denied BASIC NEEDS because she doesn’t know her own job.

We have been given wrong information regarding CalVet application and sent back in forth, it seems that everyone is nice except a heavy set hispanic lady who did not allow the other agent to even assist us. She sent us to go get actual physical social security card which we lost few weeks waiting for that, then when we got it and brought the documents, another nice lady helpped us and did not even needed the physical card. I called after a monthe and so to follow up, sadly after being on hold for so long, that hispanic lady with terrible service and absolutely no interest in customer service or helping answered kind of bothered when I asked the status. She give short dry respond saying to wait, i asked for a supervisor, she hangged up!
She speaks with no energy, short sentence and no customer service mannors. I wish i knew her name to add here but she is hispanic, maybe late 50's or 60, kind of heavy and very un pleasent customer service. She does NOT belong in the front office to meet customers or answer phones since she has no interest in helping or finding solutions or even saying hello, how can i help you? She maybe working there for over 30 years and now its just the paycheck she cares about not helping vets.
I am so upset & disapointed!

During my visit, I found the process to be disorganized and confusing. The lady who assisted me seemed to be rude and helpful at the same time. Despite my polite demeanor, she appeared to be impatient with me compared to other customers. Nonetheless, I was able to complete what I needed to do and left the place relieved.

CALVET is a waste of time and energy. All they’ll do is the intent to file for you and site on their hands not giving you updates or returning phone calls. They won’t even follow up on their end to reach out to the VA on your behalf to make sure things progress at a normal rate. They’ll wait months or in my case the whole year for the claim to expire, then tell you to call the VA. Really? I could have done all this myself and gotten an exam for my claim and processed faster than a year..total disappointment and wasted my time completely. Just file online through the VA and read up on what you need- it’s faster and doesn’t cost you anything like these scammers will.
