I hired this tax preparer for my first U.S. tax return. I paid for the service in February, but as of September, I still have not received my refund. I tried following up several times but did not receive clear updates. When I checked the IRS website myself, I could not find any record of my return. This has been a very stressful and disappointing experience for me. I am sharing my situation so that others can make an informed decision before using this service.

If I could give Larry a negative star I would do so. I recently found out I owed in back taxes and I haven’t lived in CA for 2 years. No customer service, doesn’t respond to emails. Payne did my taxes for the last two years. The first year I got a great return. This last year, I've had problems with getting my returns. The most frustrating part is Payne doesn't answer phone calls or provide any help/services after he prepares your taxes. I called him numerous time, left messages, and sent emails. The only response I got from him was an email saying "okay". Okay what? I paid you $200 dollars, your going to provide some customer service? Or, okay good luck? I had to call the state myself to correct the issues on the state taxes. He inputted the wrong deductions amount. unfortunately, the IRS is not taking any calls and I have no way to find out what the delay is about. It's been 9 months.

Mr. Payne is the best. He has done my taxes for about 10 years. Maximum refund results and I highly doubt I would ever go to anyone else for this type of service. He knows what needs to be done.

Used him for a few years. Did not explain what he was doing, i ended up oweing. Lied about the process he was doing. He forwards my calls, ignores my emails & messages. I dont know why he chose me to do this awful filing for, it wasnt worth it.
