I recently went to Meridian Security Group to obtain my exposed firearm license, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. My instructor, Edwin Bardales, was extremely thorough, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. During the classroom portion, Edwin did a great job explaining everything I needed to know about firearm safety, which helped me feel prepared and confident when it came time to take the written test. After the test, he took the time to provide hands-on instruction and explain the fundamentals of safely handling, owning, and operating a firearm. I have been working in the security industry for over 13 years, and obtaining my exposed firearm license was the next step in my security career. As someone who was new to firearms, I really appreciated Edwin’s ability to provide the knowledge, guidance, and confidence I needed to feel comfortable taking this next step. After completing the classroom portion, we went to the range, which was my first time ever stepping foot on a shooting range. Edwin made the experience very positive and comfortable. He reviewed firearm safety with me, provided equipment that I did not have, and walked me through each step before I began. His patience and instruction made a huge difference and allowed me to focus on learning and building confidence. I would definitely recommend Meridian Security Group to anyone looking to obtain or advance their security licenses. They are thorough, patient, professional, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. They provide the knowledge and confidence needed to make responsible and sensible decisions while working in the field. Another thing I really appreciated was that almost everything was handled in-house, with the exception of the range. They have the resources and support necessary to help you successfully complete the process. I will definitely be returning to Meridian Security Group for my future firearm qualifications and any additional security licenses I pursue. Thank you to Edwin Bardales and the entire Meridian Security Group team for such a great experience!

I did my initial 16 hour CCW class through Meridian Security. What a great learning experience. Edwin was extremely informative providing knowledge, not only in the class, but on the range as well. With all the questions I asked, Edwin provided evidence based answers and real world examples. He made you feel comfortable in the classroom and especially during the live fire training at the range. If you are looking for a CCW safety course, look no further. You will not regret doing your CCW safety course with Meridian Security.

This was the first time obtaining a California CCW permit and Edwin at Meridian Security Company exceeded my expectations. He thoroughly covered LAPD policies and made sure we understood the serious responsibilities that come with being a CCW holder. He used real-world examples and practical scenarios that helped put everything into perspective and made the material easy to understand and remember. The class was extremely thorough and left me feeling well-informed, confident, and better prepared to carry responsibly. Edwin was personable, engaging, and encouraged questions and discussion throughout the course. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted everyone no matter skill level, to leave with a solid understanding of the laws and responsibilities involved. Scheduling was very accommodating, communication was excellent from start to finish, and the pricing was very fair for the level of instruction provided. I highly recommend Meridian Security Company to anyone looking for professional, comprehensive CCW required course in Los Angeles.

I did my CCW certification class with Edwin at Meridian Security. Edwin provided me with valuable information related to conceal carry. The class setting was professional, relaxed and thorough. I feel like I made the right choice in using Meridian Security for my certification needs. Meridian also offers a variety of other classes for security certifications, CCW for Arizona, Utah and CCW for the Beverly Hills area. Meridian Security is listed on the LAPD Approved list for Firearms Vendors for CCW classes. Be sure to reach out to Edwin for more information regarding class availability and scheduling. I highly recommend going to Meridian Security. Thank You for everything :)

I am a long time customer of Meridian and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for top notch security guards and training courses. Edwin, the owner of the company, is a United States Marine Corps veteran and law enforcement officer who has extensive knowledge on what is needed to create a truly secure and strictly professional environment, both in garrison and in training. I especially want to highlight that they offer All of the courses needed to get started as a security guard, including the basic guard card, up to all of the armed permits that would be required like exposed firearm, baton, and OC spray permits (including power to arrest certificate, etc). -- not to mention also offering LAPD CCW permits, live Scan services, and much more. The private range he uses for qualifications is awesome, a very secure and might I say beautifully scenic area where you can feel comfortable. If you are someone who has little experience to firearms, and is actually generally uncomfortable with them, might I suggest taking his beginner or intermediate handgun course! The primary focus is always safety first and ensuring all basic fundamentals of handling a firearm in a safe manner are covered right off the bat and continuously through the course. All in all, Meridian Security group is there to protect anything you need and provide the necessary training to get started in a security career. 10/10
