I worked with Wing/KWWA Architecture for over 2 years on my home renovation project and unfortunately my overall experience was very disappointing. While Wing was familiar with the full scope of my project, I often felt there was very little proactive guidance or professional input unless I specifically asked detailed questions myself. As a homeowner relying on an architect’s expertise, I expected more direction and coordination throughout the process. The biggest issue was communication and turnaround time. Every change order took a minimum of 4 weeks, and one very simple revision took over 8 weeks. Toward the end of my project, I hired another architect to complete work that remained unresolved, and the same type of work was completed within 1 week. Another major problem was the refusal to communicate directly with my contractor. Even when there were questions, discrepancies, or unclear details in the drawings, all communication had to go through me. In my experience, coordination between the architect and contractor is critical to keeping a project moving efficiently. The lack of coordination and extremely slow turnaround times ultimately cost my project months of delays. I was also surprised by how expensive the services were compared to other architects I later worked with. When I eventually hired another architect to complete unresolved portions of the project, the cost was significantly lower while the responsiveness and overall service were substantially better. The final issue involved additional documentation requested verbally by the city regarding my front porch condition. Rather than helping resolve the issue proactively, I was told that no action would be taken unless the city issued a formal written correction. Waiting for that formal correction would have delayed my project even longer, so I had no choice but to hire another architect to complete the work and move the permit process forward. That architect completed the work in about a week at roughly half the cost. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend KWWA Architecture due to the communication issues, long delays, lack of coordination, and overall value for the price paid.

KWWA Architecture did our plans for our new Altadena Rebuild home. Wing and her Team were amazing and highly professional and caring, we have been blessed to find them. Wing went that extra mile to make sure we were updated with all the County requests and updates. We currently received our Permit and are now ready to Build.
