We did a renovation of a historic home with a contemporary addition. There was a significant amount of work throughout the project, but dSPACE worked to make the process as easy as they could every step of the way. They inspired us to think about how we live and gave us options that provided creative solutions. To us, what stood out was their thoughtful consideration of renovating houses, making them feel modern without interrupting the historic elements - as we live in the house we continue to notice thoughtful moments and beautiful sight lines that dSPACE designed and we hadn't fully appreciated until we saw everything come to life. The team has been great in providing regular communication - our project manager was an incredible partner from day one until after we moved in and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. We felt confident nothing got missed thanks to strong day to day project management and frequent senior oversight on design decisions. They always made sure there was a clear plan, even when there were inevitable construction delays. Whenever we had questions, they were quick to get on the phone and offer solutions. The design process was fun, the site visits to see progress was exciting but the real moment we realized how important good architects are was after moving in and living in the home. The home is a workers cottage and somehow dSPACE made the flow from one section of the home to the other seamless while still maintaining the character of the cozy spaces; the home feels both larger than it is and somehow very private. We did the project during the pandemic, and some of the costs increased by the time we started construction. The team was incredibly collaborative in providing innovative, cost-effective solutions without sacrificing overall design. It’s been a long journey, and we appreciate their attention to detail, collaboration, and design expertise. Now it sometimes feels like we are on vacation in this home, in a familiar space while still discovering thoughtful details. Its a treat living here and we're grateful for the experience dSPACE brought to this project.

Working with dSPACE is an inspiring experience. Every project is a testament to their keen eye for detail, thoughtful spatial planning, and deep understanding of how architecture influences the way people live and interact within a space. Their work exudes a perfect balance of clean lines, organic materials, and innovative layouts, creating homes that feel both timeless and inviting. Beyond their expertise, Kevin and his team are exceptional collaborators. They have a rare talent for listening to both clients and design professionals, ensuring that every home reflects the unique needs and personality of its inhabitants while maintaining a cohesive and elegant design language. It is a pleasure to work alongside an architect who values the synergy between structure and interiors.

We’ve worked with dSPACE before and were very happy with the process and the outcome. It was a no-brainer to work with them again. They take time to consider ideas and allow us to think because you sometimes change your mind. With them, it is not a rushed process. That is very helpful. Communication has been one of the great things about working with dSPACE. It comes naturally to them. We live thousands of miles away from the build site in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and it required a lot of coordination. dSPACE dealt with the GC, contractors and engineers, so we didn’t have to be involved with every little thing, which can be stressful. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to understand what we are looking for. There is great value in the service and taking the time to listen. They find creative ways to accomplish what we want. And they are always open to changes.
