Phil is the guy to go straight to, no questions asked! Don't even look elsewhere. He's detail oriented, has the work ethic that everybody misses, his designs are thoughtful and creative and he's so on top of everything. From beginning to end Phil is a joy to work with.

Working with rye+oak has been an incredible experience. Phil is more than just a designer — his eye for design, attention to detail, and thoughtful approach go beyond the typical scope of a designer’s role. Phil is not only creative but also highly practical, always keeping budget in mind without compromising on style or quality. You can tell right away that he is intelligent, well-versed in design, and deeply invested in creating something truly special.

Phil is a great guy, and I genuinely enjoy working with him. If we lived in the same neighborhood, I’m sure we’d be friends. Our project was a complete ground-up build—we demolished the existing house and started entirely from scratch. From the beginning, we provided a target budget for the overall project, and Phil did an excellent job coordinating with the contractor to design a home that stayed within what we could afford without compromising quality or vision. The design process was outstanding. Phil created a detailed 3D model of the house and collaborated closely with our interior designer to give us a full virtual walkthrough—from the exterior all the way through the interior spaces. Being able to see and experience the design in advance made a huge difference in our confidence and decision-making. Throughout construction, Phil has been extremely proactive in coordinating with both the contractor and the interior design team. Many important details were resolved ahead of time, and as a result, we haven’t experienced any unpleasant surprises during construction. Even when I made two last-minute changes, Phil responded quickly—updating the drawings, sending revisions to the contractor for field adjustments, and getting the plans approved by the city without delay. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories from friends about their building experiences, but we haven’t had any of those issues. Phil uses the latest design technology, pays close attention to detail, and communicates clearly and consistently. We can't wait for the project to be complete and move into our forever home. I’ve already recommended Phil to several friends considering a remodel or new home project — and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to build or redesign their dream home.

Exceptional communication, and out of the box thinking. If you are looking for a design firm that really listens to what you are looking to accomplish you have found the place. Phil has always been great to work with.

We are in the middle of working with Phil but he has been great to work with and his professionalism, work ethic and quality of architectural design and drafting has been exceptional.
